Water Column Statics
Water column statics are a manifestation of physical changes
in the water column caused by salinity, temperature, etc.,
over the period of acquisition. Lines acquired at different
times over the same location manifest static anomalies
that result in poor stack, imaging and AVO response.
By modeling and addressing these issues on a sail-line
basis, improvements in quality are instant and dramatic.
