Time & Depth Processing Geophysicists - Asia Pacific Region
Geotrace has recently moved into the Asia Pacific Region and is now looking to recruit Seismic Processing Geophysicists, with various levels of experience in time and/or depth processing for its Kuala Lumpur and Perth offices.

The Kuala Lumpur office has been established for a year and is growing rapidly, the Perth office is a new facility and we are looking to build a team with local experience.

In particular for Perth we are looking for an experienced Geophysicist from the service sector who has a strong reputation with Perth based clients and has the ambition and drive to move into a supervisor/manager role with responsibility for building a team and growing the business.

Interested and qualified candidates should email their CV's.

Geophysical Programmer

Geotrace is currently seeking a Geophysical Programmer.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of experience programming in support of seismic data processing operations. A minimum of a BSc in Geophysics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Details:
Experience programming in C is required. FORTRAN and/or C++ experience are considered strong additional positives. Software development experience in a LINUX environment is also required.  Experience with any of the following is also desirable: cluster/parallel software development, geophysical applications such as radon and other noise attenuation techniques, geometry and navigation data, field data formats, programming in support of Reservoir Services including AVO, seismic attribute calculation, and inversion.

Duties can include user support, maintenance and bug fixes, working with researchers to implement new algorithms.

Interested and qualified candidates should email their CV's.

Sr. Research Geophysicists

Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree in Geophysics and 8 years of experience or 8 years geophysical programming experience.  Experience with the following is required:

Research and develop computer software for geophysical applications including: data regularization/reconstruction for three-dimensional surface related multiple elimination (3D SRME); 3DSRME approaches; well log modeling; velocity modeling; and noise rejection.

Details:

Reconstruct denser data based on the field survey input to provide enough data required for certain geophysical processing algorithms.  Experience with regularization techniques for both land and marine acquisition is required.

Research and implement 3DSRME to remove such types of coherent noise from marine input data containing strong water bottom multiple reflections.

Perform well log modeling, which consists of petroleum physics analysis of the rock properties from seismic data and well log data and tying those properties with seismic signatures to build reservoir information.

Engage in velocity modeling by building up a velocity model of the earth, which is used to migrate the seismic data in time to real geologic formation in depth.

Remove all different types of noise related to seismic data collection and retain only geologically sound seismic signal in order to better interpret.

Geotrace offers competitive salary and benefits packages as well as an exciting and challenging work environment. To take advantage of this opportunity to join a successful and growing organization, submit your resumes by email .

Seismic Interpreter

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a BS in geophysics or a related field. 5+ years of experience interpreting seismic data for both structural and stratigraphic plays are also required. Particular experience in the Gulf Coast, South Texas, and the Gulf of Mexico would be beneficial.

Geotrace offers a competitive salary and benefits package and provides an exciting and challenging work environment.

Sr. Depth Imagers

The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a BS in geophysics or a related field, MS preferred. 10+ years of experience in seismic processing, with at least 5 years of depth imaging and model building experience is also required.

Geotrace offers a competitive salary and benefits package and provides an exciting and challenging work environment.
